This was the day that long
awaited - an interview for a visa to travel to the US. To be
honest, the run up to this interview has been plagued with
self-doubt, trepidation, sadness, etc. All the worst emotions
and the overwhelming fear that the interview would fail.
On 11th August, 2008, this
happened. Despite fulfilling all the criteria required for a
visa, it was refused. Why? Perhaps my wife's status was to
blame and that it was being used to punish us as a family. If
so, and it is suspected as being so, it was just another
example of how malicious, corrupt and even Satanic the US
administration is.
I told the female immigration
official that I have a friend in the US who is dying. She is a
'spiritual' sister to me and I a brother to her in the same
sense. My 'sister' is now receiving help after again
threatening suicide - but she still wishes to see me as she is
in so much pain and needs a friend to help her through her
torment. I told this immigration official that my possessions were
still trapped in the US and I needed to recover them. I also told
this immigration official that my wife would not leave the country
unless I was by her side. I further told this immigration official that my
marriage was in danger and my wife was talking of divorce. Now
it seems my marriage is being destroyed as well.
You would think that someone
with an ounce of compassion, of common sense and decency, and
someone who should know the rules on immigration would help.
But not this sick, evil, twisted and insensitive monster. Her
stern face and uncompromising attitude made it clear she was
going to discriminate against me.
There was no right to appeal.
Arbitrary judgement was passed. She decided it was better to
continue the degradation and destruction of a human being's
life rather than do the right thing and issue a visa. But the
negative outcome was expected. US immigration is infested with
monsters, ill-educated and inconsiderate robots, corrupt criminals, etc.
A Christian friend wrote
recently and expressed exasperation at the attitude of these
people. She related how the immigration system in the US
(often referred to as the 'INS' - the Immigration &
Naturalization Service; and now called the 'USCIS' - United
States Citizenship and Immigration Services) tried to improve it's image
with the American people, but failed. It's said you cannot
make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Trying to make the USCIS anything but what it
is, a place where it's operatives sell their souls to Satan,
have all their humanity removed, and are given so much power
they can wreck your life with a stroke of a pen, is
impossible. Meanwhile, back in the UK ...
Our letters to the Queen and the
Foreign Secretary have not been successful. The Queen has
shown the utmost contempt for the safety and welfare of UK
nationals abroad. The Foreign Secretary has not even bothered
to reply.
So be it. Lines have now been
drawn. Being denied basic human rights, being denied any
representation or protection while abroad, being treated with
contempt to the point where the corrupt and abusive nature of
a so-called ally to the UK is ignored - it's not acceptable. There are no longer any rules to
play by. No laws to observe. Now anything goes.
